We are looking for an experienced SQL DBA to join a growing Data Foundations team responsible for enterprise-grade database platforms and data architecture.

Role Overview
As a DBA/SQL Engineer, you will design, optimize, and maintain robust database systems that underpin critical business applications and analytics platforms. You will play a key role in shaping data foundations, ensuring performance, scalability, and governance across multiple technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Database administration, engineering, and performance tuning
- Advanced SQL development and optimization
- Schema design and logical/physical data modelling
- Development using Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
- Support and management of DB2 environments
- Work with Cloudera Hadoop ecosystems
- Ensure data integrity, security, backup & recovery processes
- Collaborate with data architects and engineering teams on platform improvements
Required Experience
- Strong DBA background across enterprise environments
- Advanced Oracle SQL & PL/SQL development
- Experience with DB2 database platforms
- Exposure to Cloudera Hadoop
- Strong data modelling capability (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Schema design and database engineering experience
- Performance tuning and query optimization expertise
Desirable Skills
- Experience in large-scale, high-volume data platforms
- Data governance & regulatory environment exposure
- Automation & Scripting (Shell/Python)
- DevOps-aware database practices
