Service Design and Transition Support
We are looking for an experienced Service Design & Transition Specialist (ITIL v4 certified) to support a large-scale programme. You will be responsible for ensuring all new or changed services are fully designed, transitioned, validated, and accepted into operational support.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Defining service transition plans.
- Leading Knowledge Management activities, including creating knowledge transition plans, scheduling and delivering knowledge transfer workshops, and ensuring complete and accurate transfer from development teams.
- Defining service requirements.
- Developing a robust service support model with active stakeholder engagement.
- Designing, constructing, and facilitating Service Process Testing, ensuring all service processes are validated through structured rehearsal and testing approaches.
- Defining Early Life Support plans and criteria, and managing ELS dashboards.
- Managing service progress reporting, overseeing meeting and workshop actions, and delivering service rehearsals.
- Supporting the development of service agreements.
- Supporting project documentation and governance activities.
Required Experience
- Proven background in Service Design and Transition within complex, structured environments.
- ITIL v4 certification.
- Demonstrated experience running service and knowledge transition workshops.
- Ability to define service requirements and build effective service support models.
- Hands-on experience with knowledge transition planning and Early Life Support delivery.
- Skilled in service validation, testing, and rehearsal activities.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and action-tracking skills.
- Experience in supporting procurement, supplier management, and service agreement development.
Skills & Experience Required
- ITIL v4 certified (mandatory)
- Strong experience in service introduction, service readiness, and transition into BAU
- Expertise in managing ELS, Service Rehearsals, and Knowledge Transfer
- Experience working in large, complex, multi-supplier environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
