Are you passionate about geospatial technology and spatial data analysis? We are seeking a GIS Technician to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality mapping, data management, and spatial analysis services. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative and innovative environment.
 
This role requires an office presence 3 days per week, 2 days from home

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and update GIS databases and spatial datasets.
  • Produce accurate maps, plans, reports, and visualisations for a range of stakeholders.
  • Carry out spatial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Collect, process, and validate geographic and asset-related information.
  • Perform data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of GIS information.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including GPS, CAD, survey, and asset management systems.
  • Provide GIS technical support and respond to user queries.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of GIS processes and workflows.
  • Support project teams with mapping and geospatial information requirements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience using GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, or QGIS.
  • Understanding of GIS principles, spatial data management, and cartography.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
