Intelligence Analyst – Data Quality & Market Intelligence
Central London / Hybrid – approximately two days per week in the office
Up to £55,000 plus bonus and benefits
We are recruiting a newly created Intelligence Analyst position within a growing data and market-intelligence business.
This is an opportunity to take real ownership of a substantial global dataset and help shape how it develops. You will make sure the information is accurate, complete and commercially useful, while improving the processes and technology used to maintain it.
This is not simply a data-entry or reporting role. You will investigate problems, make decisions about the reliability of different sources and introduce better ways of working.
The role
You will join an established international business investing heavily in a new intelligence platform, combining the pace and autonomy of a start-up with the backing and stability of a successful organisation.
This is a visible, hands-on role where you will have the freedom to improve processes, introduce better ways of working and grow your responsibilities as the platform expands.
You will:
- Take day-to-day ownership of a large and growing structured dataset.
- Identify and resolve duplicate, incomplete or inconsistent records.
- Combine and validate information from several different sources.
- Improve the way data is collected, cleansed, updated and quality-checked.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes using new technology and AI-enabled tools.
- Spot meaningful trends, changes and opportunities within the data.
- Work closely with colleagues across Intelligence, Product and Engineering.
- Help create a trusted data product used to support real commercial decisions.
What we are looking for
You will ideally have around three to five years’ experience in data analysis, data quality, business intelligence, research operations, market data or a related analytical role.
You should have:
- Experience maintaining, cleansing or improving structured datasets.
- Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience resolving duplicates, missing information and conflicting data.
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in data accuracy.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of problems.
- A practical approach to improving processes.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with SQL, Python, BigQuery, Power BI, Tableau, mapping tools or data automation would be helpful, but none is essential. We are open-minded about your industry background and more interested in your ability to understand and improve complex data.
