• Handling opposition and appeal work where appropriate.

• Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the firm’s continued growth in the AI and technology sectors.

• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal and technical developments within software and AI-related patent law.

We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware Patent Attorney with a background in computer science or a closely related discipline.

• UK and/or European qualified Patent Attorney (dual qualification preferred)

• Associate level or equivalent, with a few years’ post-qualification experience

• Academic background in computer science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, or similar

• Strong experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in software and/or AI technologies

• Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively

• Strong client-facing skills with a proactive and commercially minded approach

• Experience working with a range of clients, including early-stage companies and established technology businesses

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment

Most importantly, we are looking for an individual who is motivated by working on cutting-edge innovation, values high-quality work, and is keen to develop their career within a firm known for its excellence and reputation in the intellectual property space.

The Firm:

The firm is widely recognised for its technical depth, long-standing client relationships, and consistent delivery of high-quality work. With a strong presence in the UK and an international outlook, it offers a stable yet progressive environment where talented attorneys can build long-term careers.
