Job Title: AVP - Python/Java Developer

Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days in-office)

Salary: Up to £120k

About the Role:

Join a brand-new team at a leading global investment bank, working at the heart of FX Data & Analytics. You'll be building and supporting the core data and analytics layer that bridges downstream data sources and upstream React-based UIs. The work is a blend of Python and Java, with a strong focus on Python for data transformation and analytics, and Java for connecting to front-end systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the data and analytics layer (Python/Java) supporting business-critical dashboards.
• Collaborate closely with quant developers and business stakeholders.
• Consolidate and enhance fragmented solutions into a robust, scalable platform.
• Support the team in connecting to diverse data sources and running analytics.
• Help shape the technical direction of a new team and greenfield projects.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong experience with Python and Java (framework experience; not core Java/low-latency focus).
• E-Trading experience.
• Confident working with business users and stakeholders, including quants.
• Flexible on the Python/Java split (more Python work in the future).
• FX knowledge is a plus, but not essential.
