Business Intelligence Analyst - Basingstoke

Overview

The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join Castle Trust Bank. We are a fintech challenger bank offering specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts.

Our Data & Analytics team, within Technology, provides data and insights to internal and external customers using the latest Microsoft tools. The team is establishing a centre of excellence and has replaced legacy data solutions, upgraded technology, and put core data foundations in place. There are exciting projects ahead to develop new reporting, optimise data solutions, and ensure data quality and standards.

The role involves working with the Head of Data, the data team, and the broader Technology team to deliver data and insights for business change initiatives, as well as educating super users on data solutions. The role also offers the opportunity to become an acknowledged expert in the company's data and to document and improve model designs.

This role will benefit from a hybrid working arrangement, based between our Basingstoke office (3 days) and working the rest of the week from home.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver data and insights to support business change initiatives.
  • Educate super users on the use of data solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Data and the data/Technology teams to implement reporting and data solutions.
  • Document and improve model designs and data processes.
  • Support data quality and standards across projects.
What we are looking for
  • Talented Business Intelligence Analyst with experience and potential. Experience in Financial Services or a modern data platform is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in designing MI/BI solutions using Power BI; proficiency in Power BI model development, reporting, design, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Ability to partner with business teams to deliver data-driven insights for performance or regulatory reporting.
  • Knowledge of MS Azure Modern Data Warehouse Architecture and Agile methodology is advantageous; experience with SQL queries.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, high attention to detail, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
