eCommerce Quality Assurance Tester
12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Full Time – 38 Hours per Week

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

I’m working with a long-established, award-winning retail client who is currently looking for an eCommerce Quality Assurance Tester to join their digital product team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to support a major eCommerce re-platforming project, alongside other digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality customer experiences across their online platforms by executing comprehensive test plans and supporting product releases.
While the role is office-based near Preston, there is flexibility for some remote working. Specific arrangements can be discussed at interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute detailed test cases for new releases
- Collaborate with the Test Lead on structured test plans
- Interpret business requirements to ensure solution alignment
- Conduct UAT and support testing during pre- and post-release
- Maintain and improve regression and campaign testing processes
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party partners
- Ensure customer experience remains a key focus throughout testing
Candidate Profile:
Essential:
- Proven experience in software testing within an eCommerce environment
- Strong knowledge of QA and UAT processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Highly organised, proactive, and collaborative
- Excellent communication skills
- Genuine interest in digital products and user experience
Desirable:
- Familiarity with CommerceTools or similar platforms
- Experience working with microservices and tools such as JIRA
- Automation testing knowledge
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. ISTQB or equivalent)
