Interim CEO

Fast-growing and successful tech scaleup, a cash generative SME with a £10m turnover and employing 80 staff, is looking to double in size in the next five years under the guidance of its experienced, highly charismatic and driven owner-manager, supported by a first-class senior leadership team.

The company’s thriving platform combines personalised technology with individualised coaching to deliver cutting-edge support for nutrition as well as habit forming and sustainable lifestyle changes to its members. Alongside this, the company retails a carefully curated product range and is deepening its vertical integration and product innovation.

The business is at a pivotal moment in its journey and is looking for a visionary Interim CEO to lead into its next phase of growth. There is also potential for permanent work for the right candidate.

As Interim CEO, you’ll be the strategic and operational leader of the business, working closely with the owner-manager and senior leadership team to scale the company while maintaining strong financial performance and customer-centric ethos.

Key Interim CEO responsibilities:

  • Shape and execute the company’s strategic vision across tech, product, operations, and commercial growth
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and wellbeing
  • Oversee financial performance, reporting, and governance, ensuring sustainable profitability
  • Collaborate with the CTO to assess and guide technical decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Drive expansion into protein manufacturing, including partnerships, supply chain, and product development
  • Represent the company externally with investors, partners, and media

As Interim CEO you’ll need:

  • Proven leadership experience as CEO or MD - dynamic, commercially astute, ideally with a health-tech or consumer-focused tech scale-up background
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge (e.g. former CTO or Engineering/Product Leader advantageous) with the ability to challenge and support the CTO
  • A track record of scaling teams, product, and revenue in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen and operational rigour
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in improving people’s health - a passion for health and wellness
