Backend Product Engineer (London) - Relocation support available from anywhere in the UK!

We’re looking for a Backend Product Engineer to help scale high-growth systems and support the next phase of product expansion. This role focuses on building reliable, secure, and high-performing backend services that power new features and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Scale and evolve backend infrastructure
• Design and build performant APIs and services
• Develop infrastructure to support advanced technologies (including AI/ML)
• Optimise database performance and queries
• Improve system reliability through monitoring and alerting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing product development

Requirements

• Experience working in product-focused engineering environments
• Strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code (e.g. AWS, Terraform)
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Experience with serverless architectures (e.g. AWS Lambda)
• Understanding of security best practices and performance optimisation
