Analytics & BI Lead

Cedar are partnering with an established organisation looking to appoint an Analytics & BI Lead to play a key role in shaping and developing its analytics capability.

This is not simply a reporting or dashboard development position. We are looking for a genuine analytics specialist who can challenge existing approaches, introduce best practice and help define how data and analytics should be used to support better decision making.

The successful candidate will combine strong hands on technical capability with the confidence and commercial awareness to engage senior stakeholders, challenge requirements and ensure analytics delivers meaningful insight rather than simply producing more reports.

  • Take ownership of the approach to analytics and business intelligence
  • Review existing reporting and identify opportunities to improve how data and insight are used
  • Define and embed best practice across analytics, reporting, dashboards and data visualisation
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into effective analytical solutions
  • Develop and improve KPI frameworks, helping ensure the organisation is measuring what matters
  • Build insightful Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Use SQL and other analytical tools to interrogate and analyse data
  • Improve consistency, quality and governance across reporting and analytics
  • Establish scalable standards and processes as the analytics capability develops
  • Promote greater use of data and insight in business decision making
  • Provide informed recommendations and challenge rather than simply responding to reporting requests
  • Remain hands on technically while helping shape the longer term direction of analytics

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Significant experience within Analytics, Business Intelligence or a closely related discipline

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The confidence to challenge established approaches and recommend better ways of working
