An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed SaaS business at a pivotal stage of its growth journey.

With a highly scalable recurring revenue model, strong customer retention and an experienced leadership team, the business is entering its next phase of expansion through organic growth, international scaling and strategic acquisitions. The CFO will play a critical role in driving value creation, supporting the executive team and working closely with the Board and private equity investors.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be a key strategic partner responsible for leading the finance function while helping shape the commercial direction of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic finance, operational excellence and investor engagement.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a best-in-class finance function, improve financial visibility, support product and commercial decision-making, and prepare the business for a future exit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Partner with the CEO and Board on strategic planning, pricing, investment decisions and commercial performance.
  • Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
  • Deliver robust SaaS KPI reporting, including ARR, MRR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn and cash runway analysis.
  • Drive improvements across financial systems, controls, reporting and business intelligence.
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team capable of supporting continued growth.
  • Manage banking relationships, debt facilities and working capital.
  • Lea refinancing, acquisition support and financial due diligence where required.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for the private equity sponsor, lenders and external advisers.
  • Prepare the business for future strategic milestones, including M&A activity and an eventual exit.
Required Experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent).
  • Proven CFO or Finance Director experience within a high-growth SaaS or software business.
  • Strong understanding of recurring revenue business models and SaaS metrics.
  • Experience working within a private equity-backed environment, including Board and investor interaction.
  • Track record of scaling finance functions through periods of rapid growth and change.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations or exit processes would be highly advantageous.
  • Inspirational leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
