This established, rapidly scaling Technology business has proven to be immensely popular across the investor community, with yet another year of incredible growth and success forecast for 2025/26. With M&A firmly on the agenda, the time to join is now, with exciting products being rolled out and multiple capex projects underway to re-enforce a market leading position.
As part of the ongoing growth of the business, this highly entrepreneurial and fast paced company is seeking a highly talented Director of Group Finance.
Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of c20, the role includes:
- Own the existing financial reporting and control functions, creating and delivering a strategy to build a world-class financial environment that can facilitate the continued scaling of the business.
- Identify areas for improvement, including process efficiency's and automation and execute the appropriate enhancements/upgrades.
- Define and own the application of appropriate policies and strategies across Accounting, Tax and Treasury.
- Influence business outcomes through the proactive application of technical accounting expertise across contract negotiations and management, partnering with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Lead the finance work-stream in all M&A activity, from due diligence through to integration of the acquired business.
- Support equity and debt raising processes, most notably through leading the finance due diligence process.
- Own and manages all aspects of the Group's tax management and strategy, in conjunction with external tax advisors, from VAT and CIS returns through to maximising the tax position including capital allowances.
- Provide clarity and assurance to the Audit Committee on financial reporting and control, ensuring all audit findings are acted upon in a timely manner.
- Oversee the delivery of statutory and contractual financial reporting to the highest of standards, including the effective management of the annual financial statements and audit process.
- Manage the Group's cash flow, own the treasury policy and strategy to optimise cash deposits, debt and equity draws.
- Influence behaviours across the business to create a culture of strong financial discipline which allows for continued business agility.
- Drive best practice use of technology to improve delivery for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-quality team within a change environment, implementing a people development strategy that builds on the existing team, as well as bringing in specialist skills where necessary.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure clear and transparent communication and financial understanding across the senior leadership team.
This is a high profile and pivotal role for the business. As such, the successful candidate will need to be a remarkably talented, high achieving finance professional with a CV that reflects exceptional delivery and outstanding performance.
You will be an experienced finance professional, ideally ACA qualified, who has owned and led significant change across financial reporting, tax, treasury, and audit functions within a fast paced environment. With a proven track record of driving efficiency's and simplifying complex processes, you will be particularly adept at enhancing the accounting environment through the use of automation and data.
Able to demonstrate a natural ability to inspire and lead, you will have strong emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and an inherent ability to influence behaviours.
