This PE backed B2B software company has achieved 20% year-on-year growth and is forecasting a similar level of growth for 2026-2027. With an enviable portfolio of blue chip consumer facing customers, this globally established, multi-territory business is at the forefront of AI and software engineering.

Building on its ongoing success, this entrepreneurial company is now seeking an experienced Financial Controller.

Leading a team and reporting to the CFO, the role includes:

  • Owning the delivery of operational accounting including AP and AR
  • Ensuring the appropriate Tax and Treasury reporting process are in place
  • Leading the development of a first class internal control framework
  • Helping to guide the reporting, consolidation and FP&A rhythm and timetables
  • Cash and liquidity management
  • Intercompany transaction management
  • Identification and execution of improved use of the existing ERP system
  • Supporting the transition to the creation of an inhouse data warehouse
  • Partner with the various stakeholders to ensure appropriate use of technology across the finance function, and the wider business
  • Lead the automation of a number of manual processes
  • Roll out data manipulation best practice
  • Supporting the longer-term preparation for a future corporate transaction

This role will partner closely with the CFO, leading critical areas of finance. A key element to the position is the driving of greater clarity of understanding and use of automation/technology to support the ongoing journey of creating a cutting-edge finance function. The approach should be one of sympathetically driving change that is fit for now and for the future.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Experienced Financial Controller.
  • Added tangible value within a scaling SME.
  • Demonstrable examples of significantly enhancing a finance function through the use of Technology and Data.
  • All round accounting experience, including overseeing AP, AR and Treasury.
  • Has worked within a multi-currency, multi-entity environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of PowerBI or similar
  • Comfortable getting involved at all levels, and in all areas.
  • At ease in a collaborative and semi non-hierarchical environment.
  • Significant presence of gravitas and communication skills.
  • Driven by personal satisfaction of delivery, and not by ego or job title.
  • High levels of intellectual horsepower.

Preferred, not essential:

  • Has worked within a PE backed environment
  • Software sector knowledge
  • NetSuite
