Group Technical Accountant, £1bil t/o Technology, London, c£85k + Bonus
We are working with £1bil t/o technology powerhouse who are is looking to appoint a Group Technical Accountant to join its central finance team during a dynamic phase of growth and transformation. This is a high-profile role with strong exposure across group accounting and technical advisory work, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic finance projects at group level.

You'll work closely with the Head of Group Reporting & Accounting and play a key role in ensuring the integrity of technical accounting across the group. Your remit will be broad - spanning technical advisory, project-based work, and enhancements to group reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IFRS technical support throughout the group and statutory reporting cycles
- Prepare valuations and accounting papers on areas such as intangible assets and impairment reviews
- Contribute to group reorganisations by collaborating with Legal, Tax, and Treasury on entity structure and consolidation
- Drive the implementation of new standards, including IFRS 18, across group finance
- Lead on share-based payment accounting (IFRS 2)
- Support M&A activity by advising on deal structure from a technical accounting perspective
- Strengthen intercompany processes and reduce foreign exchange exposure risks
- Partner with the Tax team on financial reporting for planning and compliance matters
- Collaborate with the shared service centre to support ongoing corporate initiatives
- Deliver IFRS training and upskilling across the finance community
- Participate in cross-functional finance projects and support internal reporting transformation initiatives
Essentials:
- ACA qualified, ideally trained in a top-10 accountancy firm
- 2+ years of post-qualification experience
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, with hands-on experience in consolidation, intercompany, and multi-currency environments
- Excellent communication skills - able to distil technical matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Organised, responsive, and calm under pressure
- A collaborative and proactive approach to working across teams
- Experience with Oracle ERP is advantageous
