About the RoleCedar are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Analysis & Insight (MI) to lead our client's Management Information, Analytics and Business Insight function. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how data and insight drive strategic decision-making across a growing financial services organisation.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an MI and insight strategy that provides meaningful, actionable intelligence to stakeholders across the business. You'll lead a high-performing team, champion data-driven decision making and ensure reporting evolves beyond metrics into valuable commercial and operational insight.
This is a predominantly remote role, with occasional travel to our London office for collaboration, leadership meetings and key business events.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Analysis & Insight (MI) function, creating a high-performing, customer-focused team.
- Define and implement the MI and analytics strategy, aligning with wider business objectives.
- Deliver timely, accurate and insightful management information to Executive and Senior Leadership teams.
- Transform data into meaningful business insight, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Finance, Customer Experience and Commercial functions to support strategic decision making.
- Drive continuous improvement of reporting capabilities, dashboards and visualisation tools.
- Ensure robust governance, data quality and consistency across MI reporting.
- Lead the development of predictive analytics and performance measurement where appropriate.
- Manage prioritisation of reporting requests and analytical projects.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making.
You'll be an experienced analytics or MI leader with a passion for using data to influence business strategy.
You'll bring:
- Significant leadership experience within MI, Analytics or Business Insight.
- Experience within Financial Services or another highly regulated industry.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and Executive teams through data-driven insight.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing analytical teams.
- Strong knowledge of reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Excellent understanding of data governance and reporting best practice.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience driving change through insight.
- Experience of cloud-based data platforms and modern BI technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and analytical methodologies.
- Experience delivering enterprise-wide MI transformation programmes.
- Financial Services regulatory knowledge.
