Technology Operations Manager

Cedar are looking for a Technology Operations Manager to join a growing organisation operating within a regulated industry, currently investing in their technology capabilities to support the next phase of their growth. Cedar are seeking an experienced hire to oversee day-to-day technology operations across a modern Microsoft environment. This is a senior operational role focused on service ownership, supplier management and stakeholder engagement rather than hands-on technical administration.

Working across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Data and Change functions, you will ensure technology services remain stable, secure and scalable. You will also play a key role in driving operational improvements, strengthening resilience and ensuring third-party providers consistently deliver against agreed expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operational performance of core Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, identity and endpoint management services.
  • Manage and challenge managed service providers and technology partners, including service reviews, SLA management, incident escalation, root cause analysis and remediation tracking.
  • Ensure device and endpoint compliance issues are identified, monitored and resolved appropriately.
  • Oversee joiner, mover and leaver processes across user access, devices, licensing and offboarding activities.
  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Projects, Change and Data teams to translate business requirements into effective technology outcomes.
  • Support cyber security activities through operational oversight of access controls, patching, endpoint compliance and supplier-led remediation activities.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of technology assurance and control frameworks across the organisation.
  • Ensure technology services support wider governance, data management and operational requirements.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing and ongoing improvements.
  • Produce reporting across service performance, incidents, supplier delivery, operational risks and compliance activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across technology operations and service management practices.
About You

You will be an experienced technology operations professional with a track record of working in regulated or complex environments and a passion for delivering high-quality technology services.

Experience in the following areas is desirable:

  • Microsoft 365, Azure and enterprise technology operations.
  • Supplier and managed service provider management.
  • Incident, problem, change and service management.
  • Cyber security and operational resilience practices.
  • Governance, audit and compliance environments.
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Stakeholder management across both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Driving process improvements and enhancing service delivery.
