A Japanese consulting firm is seeking a management-level consultant specialising in security and privacy. In this role, you will support clients across a broad range of areas, including the development and implementation of security and privacy strategies, regulatory compliance, risk management, operational improvement, and the establishment of organisational culture. You will work closely with senior management and global teams, leading initiatives to strengthen security and privacy frameworks that are essential to clients’ business operations.

TYPE: Permanent, full-time

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday

SALARY: Negotiable depending on experience

Japanese speaking Security & Privacy Consultant / Manager – Main Responsibilities:

  • Governance, Strategy & Risk Management: Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise-wide security and privacy strategies and risk management frameworks
  • Regulatory Compliance & Privacy: Advise on compliance with GDPR, UK GDPR, and other global data protection regulations, including policy development
  • Operations, Incident Response & Resilience: Support and improve security operations, incident response frameworks, and business continuity capabilities
  • Assessment, Audit & Advisory: Conduct security and privacy assessments, audits, and gap analyses, and provide practical improvement recommendations
  • People, Organisation & Culture: Promote security awareness and support the establishment of a strong security and privacy culture within client organisations
  • Collaborate closely with senior management and global teams to strengthen clients’ security and privacy operating models

Japanese speaking Security & Privacy Consultant / Manager – Ideal Candidate:

  • 5–10+ years’ consulting experience (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of security, privacy, and risk management
  • Solid understanding of international data protection regulations, including GDPR and UK GDPR
  • Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders and leading client projects
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
  • Experience working in Europe is highly desirable
  • German or French language skills are an advantage
