As our business continues to grow, we're looking for enthusiastic, motivated and commercially minded individuals to join our Account Management team at our Crewe office.

The Role

We are looking for individuals who enjoy building relationships, working with people and contributing to the success of a growing business.

As an IT Account Manager, you will play an important role in managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and coordinating our network of IT engineers to meet customer requirements.

You'll work closely with our recruitment and operations teams to ensure we deliver a professional, reliable and responsive service to our clients.

Previous account management or IT recruitment experience is not essential, as on-the-job training can be provided for suitable candidates. We're particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing clients.
  • Act as a key point of contact for client enquiries, requirements and ongoing projects.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to support company growth.
  • Manage and coordinate a pool of IT engineers, ensuring suitable resources are available to meet client requirements.
  • Liaise with engineers regarding availability, assignments and upcoming opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal recruitment and operational teams to ensure successful placements and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, engineer information and ongoing business opportunities.
  • Respond professionally and efficiently to client and engineer enquiries.
  • Support the development and growth of existing accounts through regular communication and relationship management.
  • Contribute to achieving individual and wider team objectives.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confidence building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Good time management and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • An interest in business development, recruitment or the IT industry.
  • A positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems.

Previous experience in account management, recruitment, sales or customer service would be beneficial but is not essential.

Training & Development

At Cerco, we recognise that attitude, ambition and willingness to learn are just as important as previous experience.

For suitable candidates, on-the-job training can be provided, allowing you to develop practical skills and knowledge in:

  • Client relationship and account management.
  • IT recruitment and technical resourcing.
  • Business development and identifying commercial opportunities.
  • Managing and coordinating IT engineering resources.
  • Communication, negotiation and customer service.
  • Internal systems, recruitment processes and operational procedures.

You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues while developing your understanding of the IT recruitment sector.

  • Work alongside an experienced and supportive team.
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of clients and IT projects.
  • Develop valuable commercial, recruitment and account management skills.
