Cerco are looking for a driven, people-focused professional to join our fast-paced Projects & Recruitment Team.

Cerco is a long-established technical training and recruitment company specialising in the UK IT sector. We supply permanent and temporary IT specialists to many of the country’s best-known managed service providers. You’ll be joining a close-knit, supportive team that values initiative, creativity, and delivering outstanding service to both clients and engineers.

About the Role

As an Account Manager, you will take ownership of key client accounts, ensuring the smooth delivery of recruitment and project requirements while identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen relationships. This is a hands-on role combining account management, candidate coordination, and operational delivery in a fast-moving environment.

You’ll be expected to bring work proactively, and quickly establish yourself as the trusted point of contact for your clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of client accounts, acting as the primary point of contact
  • Source, select, and schedule engineers for project and contract assignments, ensuring suitability, availability, and capability
  • Ensure engineers receive all required information, including location, dates, timescales, pay rates, and project details
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and employment partners to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships
  • Monitor project workflows, anticipate potential issues, and resolve challenges proactively
  • Provide accurate weekly updates to payroll covering shifts worked and upcoming scheduled activity
  • Handle incoming calls and emails professionally, responding promptly and maintaining clear communication
  • Support ongoing recruitment for both in-house training programmes and external client requirements
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy across systems, schedules, and documentation

About You

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership quickly and thrive in a busy, varied role. You’ll be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail and service standards.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong relationship-building skills with both clients and candidates
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence working at pace and making decisions independently
  • Strong Office 365 and general administrative skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine passion for service delivery

Role Details

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent
  • Hours: Monday–Thursday 09:00–17:15, Friday 09:00–14:00
  • Location: On-site with free, private parking
  • Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays (increasing to 25 days after 5 years)
  • Interview process: Two-stage
