QA Lead
QA Lead – End-to-End & Automation Certain Advantage are hiring for a QA Lead – (End-to-End Automation) based in London.This role is on an initial 12-month contract and will be required to be onsite 3 days a week and 2 days remote.We are seeking a highly experienced QA Lead to take ownership of end-to-end testing across a dynamic portfolio of programs. This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to guide a high-performing team toward delivering top-quality testing outcomes.Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end testing deliverables across the portfolio, ensuring high-quality outcomes and effective demand management.
- Build and maintain a strong QA team by identifying and onboarding capable talent.
- Ensure business continuity and consistently deliver top-tier testing coverage for all programs.
- Lead a team of 10–12 QA professionals, managing goals, performance appraisals, and development plans aligned to their career aspirations.
- Demonstrate deep experience in automation and successfully deliver testing solutions for medium to large-scale programs.
- Collaborate closely with Architects and Scrum teams to refine requirements, ensure testability, and maximize automation potential.
- Provide functional and technical feedback on design decisions.
- Innovate by exploring new tools, frameworks, and processes to advance functional, manual, and automation testing practices.
- Document best practices, mentor junior team members, and foster ongoing capability development.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, supporting continuous deployment and integration.
- Develop proofs-of-concept for QA automation to drive continuous improvement.
- Engage regularly with senior business leaders; operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong background in Agile testing and test automation, including use of accelerators and automation tools.
- Hands-on expertise with Selenium (C#) and BDD frameworks (SpecFlow).
- Strong experience with API automation and implementation of Selenium Grid.
- Knowledge of test metrics, measurements, and reporting best practices.
