Software Developer Certain Advantage is hiring for a Software Developer based in the Portsmouth area.This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based. The CompanyWe’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Development of code within an agile environment (scrum).
- Working with the team to design, implement and test features for new product development.
- Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning
- Java Core (version 8+)
- Spring Boot, Spring Framework - Good knowledge of developing in Spring with Hibernate
- Good Knowledge of developing REST within HTTPS
- Developing within a microservice architecture
- Web Services using RESTful APIs
- Distributed systems
- Knowledge and use of software design patterns
- Agile Development Processes
- CI/CD delivery techniques
- Source code management (GIT)
- Use of Issue tracking systems (Jira)
- UML/SysML using Enterprise Architect or similar
- Hourly rate of circa £55ph via an umbrella company
