Software Test Engineer
Software Test Engineer Certain Advantage is hiring for a Software Test Engineer based in the Guildford or Newcastle area.This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based. The CompanyWe’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.Does this sound like your next career move If you’re ambitious to grow, this may be your next role The Role:This role is for a Software Test Engineer —someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning.
- Design of tests within an agile environment using a test management tool.
- Design and execution of automated and exploratory tests, particularly in RESTful API environments.
- Test of Web applications
- Contribution towards researching, evaluating and managing test automation frameworks.
- Support Test Readiness and Verification Reviews.
- Complete test phases independently and within a team environment.
- Contribution to the Integration and Configuration Management plan
- Agile development
- Ability to support the Product Owner in defining acceptance criteria for user stories
- Testing REST Architecture using Postman or Bruno
- Web Applications UI Testing
- Test Automation -Desirable
- Hourly rate of circa £70ph via Umbrella company
