This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist group advising on cyber incidents, technology and data related claims, regulatory response and cyber/technology insurance coverage.

The RoleYou'll support partners on a broad range of cyber, technology and data related matters, including: Advising insurers, insureds and brokers on breach response insurance issues, policy interpretation and coverage strategyRunning and supporting complex cyber coverage matters, including multi insurer claims and allocation issuesAdvising on technology and cyber related liability exposures, including technology E&O claimsSupporting defence and strategy of technology/data related disputes, including ADR and litigation workstreamsHandling high pressure incident response mandates, including ransomware and cyber extortion scenariosAdvising on notification strategy and regulatory engagement, including ICO facing mattersSupporting data subject claims and coordinating litigation risk strategyWorking alongside technical cyber partners on breach response, remediation and communicationsCoordinating pragmatic data protection advice with specialist data advisory colleaguesSenior Associates will supervise junior lawyers and contribute to team developmentCandidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a motivated cyber/tech lawyer with:1-8 years' PQE (flexible for strong candidates)Experience in cyber breach response, insurance coverage and/or technology/data related claimsStrong understanding of breach response insurance policies; experience of multi insurer claims is highly desirableFamiliarity with cyber incident response workflows and ability to advise calmly under pressureExperience of technology/data related disputes, ADR and (ideally) litigationWorking knowledge of UK regulatory engagement, including ICO interactionStrong drafting, analytical and commercial judgement skillsExcellent communication skills and confidence working with CISOs, in house counsel, brokers and technical providersStrong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple fast moving mattersCommitment to a supportive, inclusive and collaborative team cultureBenefitsThe firm offers: Flexible and hybrid workingSupportive, inclusive and collaborative cultureHigh value, complex cyber and technology workStrong investment in training, development and progressionExposure to leading insurers, corporates and specialist cyber partnersCommitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belongingHow to ApplyIf this opportunity sounds of interest or you'd like a confidential conversation about your next career move, please contact: Email: oliviareed@chadwicknott.co.ukPhone: 0117 917 1515 / 07711 799761At Chadwick Nott, we are committed to developing a diverse and inclusive culture as well as supporting our large client network achieve the same.
