Temporary Finance Administrator
Chalk Hill Group are working with a well-established Technology business, based in Basingstoke, who are seeking a Temporary Finance Administrator to support its finance team during a busy period. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong finance administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
You will provide hands-on support across key finance processes, helping to manage a backlog of transactions while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records and support core accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices, expenses, and bank transactions
- Assisting with sales invoice posting and financial data entry
- Maintaining and updating supplier records
- Supporting reconciliations and month-end processes
- Responding to internal and external finance queries
- Ensuring finance processes are followed accurately and efficiently
- Assisting with clearing backlogs and improving administrative workflows
- Previous experience in a finance administration or accounts support role
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Comfortable working with high-volume transactional workloads
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Location: Basingstoke (with some flexibility for occasional home working)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Rate: £15–£18 per hour (PAYE)
