My client is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to work with them on a permanent basis.

Its hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

As they are a global company you need to be able to go on regular 7.30am Teams calls with your international colleagues.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Administer and support Azure IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments.
  • Automate provisioning, deployment, and release of Azure resources using DevOps pipelines.
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to standardise and scale cloud operations.
  • Monitor system health and performance of cloud-based applications and services.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, including security-related incidents.
  • Manage incident and service request queues to meet SLAs and publish regular reports.
  • Leverage AI Ops tools to automate incident detection, root cause analysis, and performance optimisation.
  • Maintain internal documentation, CMDB entries, and knowledgebase articles.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enhance cloud security posture.
  • Apply and maintain Azure security policies aligned with ISO27001, NIST, CIS, Essential 8 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues transitioning from on-premise infrastructure roles

Technical skills:

  • Extensive hands-on experience supporting Azure Cloud environments
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (required).
  • Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS
  • High level of security awareness and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bicep and DevOps tooling; or equivalent orchestration and automation expertise
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, RBAC and Azure Policy.
  • Agile delivery experience, including working in Sprints and Retrospectives.
  • Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (incident, change, service request).
