Infrastructure Team Lead (12-Month FTC)

Glasgow City Centre, Hybrid working, 3 days a week in the office.

I’m looking for an experienced Infrastructure Team Lead to join our Glasgow-based IT function on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled infrastructure team, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in delivering critical services across our global organisation.

What You'll Be Doing:

As Infrastructure Team Lead, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of the Infrastructure team, ensuring the successful delivery of services across Server & Compute, Network, and Collaboration platforms. You'll work closely with stakeholders and fellow team leaders to prioritise workloads, manage resources, and continuously improve service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and support Infrastructure team members
  • Manage work allocation, capacity planning and prioritisation
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Oversee change management activities to minimise business impact
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
  • Manage BAU activities, Jira backlogs and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as a key escalation point and drive issues through to successful resolution
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and wider IT teams

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven team leadership and people management experience, ideally within a global organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing operational escalations and delivering positive outcomes
  • Experience delivering BAU initiatives and small internal projects
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
  • A passion for service improvement and operational excellence
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands effectively
