Infrastructure Engineer (Azure/PowerShell Automation)

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a modern , cloud-first environment where infrastructure, automation, and security come together.
With 90% of the platform in Azure and a smaller on-prem footprint, this is a hands-on role covering cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, and incident management. You’ll help evolve a large enterprise environment through better tooling, standardisation, and automation.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting and improving Azure-first infrastructure across multiple environments
- Taking ownership of infrastructure incidents through to resolution (including root cause analysis)
- Working across compute, storage, networking, identity, and cloud services (IaaS / PaaS / SaaS)
- Building and maintaining PowerShell-based automation to improve operational efficiency
- Improving monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational tooling
- Supporting identity, access, patching, backup, and DR processes
- Acting as escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
- Working with security teams (including SOC) on threat detection and response
- Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to maintain service reliability
What we’re lookin g for
- Strong Azure experience (essential)
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Linux server experience
- Good understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, WAN, IP networking)
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Zabbix etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and incident ownership mindset
- Experience working in cloud-focused or enterprise infrastructure environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
