About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in banking lending to support a new initiative focused on applying basic AI capabilities across the lending lifecycle.
This is not a technical AI role — it’s about using your lending expertise to help shape how automation and AI can support processes like credit assessment, document handling, or operational decision-making.
You'll be working with cross-functional teams across Lending, Credit, Operations, and Data to identify pain points, gather requirements, and help enable AI-driven solutions.
Experience Required
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in banking, with a strong focus on:
- Mortgages
- Personal or unsecured lending
- Commercial/corporate lending
- Strong understanding of the full lending lifecycle, including credit risk, decisioning, onboarding, servicing, and collections.
- Track record of delivering business change or transformation within lending environments.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- While AI/ML knowledge isn’t required, you must be:
- Curious about emerging technology
- Able to understand and support the use of basic AI capabilities within business processes
- Comfortable collaborating with data and digital teams
- Experience with Agile delivery, JIRA, Confluence, and process mapping tools is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse current-state lending processes and identify areas where AI could add value (e.g. automation, risk classification, document processing).
- Work closely with Product, Data, and Technology teams to define business requirements for AI use cases.
- Lead workshops with stakeholders across Lending, Credit, and Operations to gather insights and align goals.
- Translate business requirements into clear documentation (e.g. BRDs, user stories, process maps).
- Support early-stage testing and validation of AI-enabled features or tools.
- Act as the bridge between business users and technology teams throughout delivery.
- Ensure regulatory, compliance, and data privacy considerations are captured in all solutions.
