Control Systems Engineer – Process Automation
I’m currently supporting an established engineering organisation looking to appoint a Control Systems Engineer to join its process automation team.
This opportunity would suit an engineer with a strong background in PLC / SCADA development and industrial automation, particularly someone with hands-on experience using Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and FactoryTalk View SE.
You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from software design and development through testing, commissioning and final customer delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- PLC software design, development and modification
- HMI / SCADA development
- Working with Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix / Studio 5000
- Development and configuration using FactoryTalk View SE
- Design and implementation of process automation systems
- FAT / SAT testing and commissioning
- Troubleshooting and optimisation of control systems
- Producing technical specifications and project documentation
- Supporting installation and site commissioning activities
- Working alongside project, electrical and wider engineering teams
- Providing technical support throughout project delivery
Experience required:
- 4+ years’ experience within Control Systems / Industrial Automation
- Proven experience delivering projects using Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
- Experience with FactoryTalk View SE
- PLC / HMI / SCADA software development experience
- Understanding of process automation and industrial control systems
- Experience across testing, FAT / SAT and commissioning
- Ability to work across the full project lifecycle
Experience within sectors such as water, energy, manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, oil & gas or other process-driven environments would be beneficial.
Location: Peterborough / surrounding area
