Principal Control Systems Engineer – Process Automation
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Principal Control Systems Engineer to join an established engineering organisation delivering complex process automation and control system projects.
The position would suit a senior controls/automation engineer with extensive hands-on experience working with Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and FactoryTalk View SE, alongside a strong background delivering PLC/SCADA projects through the full engineering lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- PLC and SCADA software design and development
- Development using Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix / Studio 5000
- HMI/SCADA development using FactoryTalk View SE
- Control system design, implementation and optimisation
- FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning
- Troubleshooting and technical support
- Producing technical specifications and project documentation
- Working closely with engineering, project and customer teams
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers
Key experience:
- 10+ years' experience delivering industrial automation/control system projects
- Strong hands-on experience with Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
- Strong FactoryTalk View SE experience
- PLC / HMI / SCADA software development
- Process automation or industrial control systems
- Testing, commissioning and project delivery
- Ability to work at Principal/Lead level
The business is open to considering candidates on either a permanent or long-term contract basis.
