Senior DevOps/Kubernetes Engineer

Remote work. With occasional visits to London when required.

Ideally, you’ve worked in a startup environment and remained hands on. Preference given to candidates that work on real-time live deployments, live feeds or tracking industry is a huge plus.

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join an existing team DevOps team of five to work on cloud-based solutions. The role is remote working, but sometimes they meet up in London. The salary is 60k - £120k DOE.

The primary focus will be on Designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes Service clusters, ensuring that business requirements around high availability, scalability and security are met. Other responsibilities include:

  • Performing upgrades and patch management for clusters.
  • Developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establishing monitoring systems and alerting procedures.
  • Documenting your work for other colleagues to follow and refer to.
  • Optimise cloud and on-prem infrastructure to maximise reliability.
  • Develop automation tools.

This Senior DevOps Engineer role will suit someone who is looking for a fresh and exciting challenge within a very successful and growing team.

Key skills required.

  • Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes
  • Experience managing BareMetal Kubernetes
  • GitOps workflows
  • CI/CD including Terraform/ArgoCD/Ansible.
  • Linux or Ubuntu
  • Git

Desired skills:

  • Python scripting at a high level
  • Comfortable deploying self-managed Kubernetes
