Senior Data Engineer – Python

A high‐growth, technology‐driven business is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of its core data platform. This is a hands‐on engineering role with real architectural influence — you’ll design, build, and scale the pipelines, models, and tooling that power analytics, automation, and product decision‐making across the company.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to turn fragmented data into clean, reliable, production‐ready systems. Your work will directly shape how the organisation captures value from data.

• Python data engineering — build robust, testable, scalable pipelines and services
• Data modelling — design and evolve models that support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows
• Business‐logic translation — convert complex requirements into clean, production‐grade Python
• End‐to‐end workflow ownership — ingestion, transformation, validation, monitoring, optimisation
• Platform reliability — improve observability, performance, and resilience across the stack
• Architecture input — contribute to decisions as the platform modernises and scales
• Engineering standards — drive quality, documentation, and CI/CD excellence

• Strong Python engineering applied to data workflows
• Solid SQL and experience building production‐grade pipelines
• Cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster
• Ability to work with stakeholders and simplify complex requirements
• A mindset focused on quality, reliability, and simplicity
• Comfortable owning problems end‐to‐end

• dbt, Spark, or similar frameworks
• Analytics engineering exposure
• Interest in AI‐driven automation and modern data workflows
• Experience in product‐led or high‐growth environments
