Junior IT Support Technician – Derby – £24,000 to £26,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Junior IT Support Technician to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation in Derby. Working within a busy and dynamic environment, you'll play a key role in supporting the company's technology infrastructure and assisting colleagues with day-to-day IT issues. This is a hands-on position where you'll be actively involved across the business rather than spending all your time at a desk. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about technology, eager to learn, and committed to delivering excellent support.Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support and resolve user issues efficiently
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and business system problems
• Prepare, configure, and recover equipment for new starters and departing employees
• Ensure meeting room technology and audiovisual equipment are fully operational
• Support IT improvement initiatives, upgrades, and deployment projects
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, records, and asset inventories

Skills and Experience Required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for technology and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain composed in a busy environment
• Positive attitude with a willingness to support colleagues across the business
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Knowledge

• Previous experience using IT service desk or ticket management systems
• Understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Basic networking knowledge
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration
