Role Purpose

The Project & Operations Manager is responsible for driving structured execution across client and internal initiatives, ensuring every piece of work is delivered as a clearly defined project with a beginning, middle, and end.

This is a highly visible, client-facing and internally collaborative role focused on coordination, communication, and proactive delivery management. The role ensures that opportunities, client engagements, and strategic initiatives are scoped properly, executed efficiently, and closed effectively.

This position is not responsible for technical or back-office setup work. Instead, it focuses on orchestration, stakeholder management, and momentum — ensuring the right people are aligned, informed, and accountable at every stage. The role plays a key part in developing, refining, and governing wider Chesamel processes — ensuring consistency, clarity, and operational excellence as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Ownership & Delivery

  • Lead and coordinate projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Define scope, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria at the outset.
  • Establish clear accountability across stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and proactively resolve blockers.
  • Ensure all projects conclude with clear outcomes, documentation, and next steps.

2. Pre-Sales & Commercial Support

  • Support pre-sales activity by coordinating inputs for proposals, pitches, and client discussions.
  • Assist in shaping project scope and timelines during early-stage client conversations.
  • Work closely with outbound sales to ensure smooth transition from opportunity to delivery.
  • Provide operational insight to strengthen commercial positioning.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients during project lifecycles.
  • Ensure clients are informed, aligned, and confident throughout delivery.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and clarity in all communications.

4. Operational Coordination & Execution

  • Translate strategic objectives into structured project plans.
  • Facilitate internal alignment meetings and ensure follow-through on actions.
  • Track deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Create visibility through simple reporting, timelines, and progress updates.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and delivery frameworks.
  • Introduce simple project management best practices and templates where needed.
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to future projects.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not responsible for technical implementation or system setup.
  • Not a back-office administrative role.
  • Not purely internal — this is a commercially aware, externally engaged position.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in project management, operations, or client delivery roles.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence working alongside sales teams.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
