Product Analyst
Job summary
The EPR Product Analyst will report into the EPR Product Specialist to support the design, configuration, and optimisation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system by gathering requirements, analysing workflows, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Although hybrid working is available across the team, this role will be central to the EPR programme and will therefore require a minimum on-site presence of three days per week at Sherwood Forest Hospitals. During go-live or other key delivery periods, on-site requirements may increase.
Main duties of the job
They may be required to manage a team to deliver a discrete configuration package. The post holder will act as a bridge between clinical teams, technical specialists, and suppliers, providing detailed analysis to inform product decisions and configuration standards.
They will contribute to testing, data validation, and adoption activities, ensuring the EPR solution meets user needs and complies with safety and governance requirements.
You will be required to demonstrate the product to a range of stakeholders in groups and or individual (one to one).

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
- oDegree-level education or equivalent experience in health informatics, IT, or a related discipline.
- oFormal qualification in business analysis or project support (e.g., BCS BA, PRINCE2 Foundation).
- oTraining in process mapping or configuration tools.
- oJava script training equivalent to level 2 or significant experience in using Java script within an EPR system
Experience
- oExperience in business analysis or system configuration within a healthcare or IT environment.
- oProven involvement in requirements gathering and workflow documentation.
- oExperience supporting testing phases (SIT/UAT) and defect resolution.
- oFamiliarity with specialist features (PAS, ePrescribing, theatres, ED, clinical documentation, investigation etc.).
- oExperience in providing product demonstrations to a wide range of stakeholder(s) and groups
- oExperience with EPR systems or healthcare digital programmes.
- oFamiliarity with clinical coding standards (SNOMED CT, dm+d).
- oExposure to benefits realisation and optimisation activities.
- oExperience in manage teams to deliver a work package.
Knowledge and Skills
- oUnderstanding of clinical workflows and operational processes.
- oExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- oAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- oAbility to interpret supplier release notes and manage upgrades.
- oKnowledge of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
- oUnderstanding of data migration principles and integration architecture.
- oFamiliarity with clinical safety standards (DCB0129/DCB0160) and IG compliance.
- oProficiency in documentation and process mapping tools.
