Financial Controller
Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a Financial Controller.
The company has an annual turnover exceeding £50 million and are the prominent experts in their field. The company manages a multi-billion-pound wholesale turnover, reflecting its extensive global trading operations.
The role:- As financial controller you will assume immediate responsibility for the smooth running of the day to day operations . Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework including policies and procedures, Balance Sheet review and manage transaction services to support Retail Operations. Responsible and accountable for the integrity of the financial accounting function ensuring no material losses are incurred due to weaknesses in Financial Control. Financial and external reporting including statutory accounts, taxation calculations, cash flow forecasts, monthly balance sheet review process reconciliations and the budgeting and forecasting of the business.
Build and implement future-proof financial processes and controls that can facilitate continued business growth, ensure that all reconciling items are resolved in an accurate and timely manner, accurate payroll reporting and analysis, manage the expense policies for the business and ensure settlements with third parties are accurate, in compliance with contractual obligations using best practice processes and systems.
The person:- qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with significant post qualification experience ideally within a highly transactional business environment preferably retail, financial service and/or FMCG sector. You will be the person to go to for the financial and technical accounting aspects of the business and lead a small team to achieve their goals and targets. High level of knowledge and experience of best practice in finance functions including detailed accounting treatment knowledge with the ability to lead the function to deliver. Experience of large project implementations and strong project management/IT skills useful. A team player comfortable leading from the front with excellent communication skills to inspire the team to achieve.
