Broadcast Engineer

We are working with a client in the live news content technology space who is looking to hire Broadcast Support Engineers to join their growing Technology team.

This role sits within a 24/7 operational environment, where you will play a key role in maintaining service availability and supporting critical systems. You will act as a key interface between engineering and operational teams, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for systems and services
  • Respond to incidents and coordinate resolutions
  • Support system changes, upgrades, and installations
  • Assist with root cause analysis and problem management
  • Contribute to system improvements, upgrades, and technology rollouts
  • Work closely with internal teams, service owners, and external suppliers
  • Participate in a 24/7 support rota (including nights, weekends, and public holidays)

Requirements:

  • Experience in broadcast, content technology, or IT operational environments
  • Strong technical understanding across systems and workflows
  • Proven ability to make decisions in operational or high-pressure situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on minimising downtime
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
