Commercial Analyst - Inventory

We are working with a leading IT systems integrator that is looking to hire a Commercial Analyst – Inventory to join their newly created Commercial Operations team.

This role plays an important part in optimising inventory performance and supporting profitable growth across the business. Working closely with Sales, Product, and Commercial teams, you will help ensure stock levels across physical and virtual warehouses are aligned with sales activity, product lifecycle stages, and wider commercial priorities.

Through analysis, reporting, and collaboration with key stakeholders, you will help minimise aged or excess stock, improve inventory turnover, and support better working capital management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels in line with sales activity and commercial priorities
  • Analyse sales trends, product lifecycle, and market activity to support inventory planning
  • Identify and reduce aged or slow-moving stock
  • Support strategies to manage excess or obsolete inventory
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure inventory allocation supports commercial performance
  • Produce inventory and working capital reports highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Provide insights to help improve stock availability, turnover, and cash flow
Requirements
  • Experience in inventory planning, analysis, or performance reporting
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using ERP or commercial systems (specific experience with Business Dynamics would be highly advantageous).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, sales, and product teams
  • Understanding of inventory lifecycle and working capital impact
