Firmware Engineer

A great opportunity has just landed on my desk in the Birmingham area. This company are looking for a new Firmware Engineer as their business takes on more projects in 2026. If you’re interested in working with the latest IoT and consumer-based products, please get in touch.The role of Firmware Engineer reports directly to the CTO with a dotted line to the Software Director. It is a small business which will give you exposure to all aspects of the projects. You’ll be given key responsibility of projects working with both internal and external stakeholders including the end customer.For the first six months this role onsite five days per week, then moving to three days per week onsite.Firmware Engineer Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Electronics or Software Engineering
• Embedded C/C++ programming
• Microcontroller development
• Low level/bare metal programming
• FreeRTOS
• Understanding of electronics
