Platform Engineer – Azure Databricks - Outside IR35

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Platform Engineer with strong Azure Databricks experience to build, manage and support scalable cloud data platforms. The role focuses on platform ownership, automation, governance and Infrastructure as Code rather than traditional data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Azure Databricks environments
• Administer workspaces, security, access and governance
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Support platform performance, monitoring and reliability
• Work with engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions

Skills Needed

• Strong Azure Databricks experience
• Databricks administration and platform ownership
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Azure cloud platform experience
• Unity Catalog and governance knowledge
• Azure DevOps / CI/CD experience
• Security and access management experience
• Strong platform engineering background
