VMware Consultant (NPPV3 Clearance)

We are seeking a skilled VMware Consultant to join a major enterprise programme based on-site in Birmingham. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure platform stability across a complex virtualised environment. Where possible, you will also contribute as part of a wider team supporting large-scale transformation and operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support a highly available VMware-based cloud infrastructure
• Ensure platform stability, performance, and security across production environments
• Provide operational support and incident resolution within agreed SLAs
• Collaborate with wider engineering and operations teams on large-scale infrastructure projects
• Support automation and optimisation initiatives across the platform
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring, logging, and network operations

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• vSphere, vCenter, ESXi
• NSX (including DFW/vDefend)
• Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) concepts
• VMware HCX
• AVI/NSX Advanced Load Balancer
• VMware Aria Operations (Ops for Logs & Ops for Network)
• VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS)/infrastructure automation
• Veeam Backup & Recovery

Clearance Requirements

• Must hold SC Clearance
• Must hold NPPV3 Clearance
• Role starts from June (subject to clearance validation)

• Onsite - Birmingham (full-time presence required)
