We are seeking a highly skilled ARIA Network Consultant with strong VMware and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience to support a major migration programme.

The consultant will be responsible for analysing the current network environment, identifying application dependencies, and providing recommendations for migration wave/bundle planning. The goal is to ensure applications are migrated in optimised groupings to minimise latency and maintain performance within the target VCF-based VPC platform.

This is a client-facing role requiring close collaboration with internal teams and third-party partners, combining deep technical expertise with strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and interpret network traffic across the existing environment
• Use VMware Aria (formerly vRealize Network Insight) or similar tools to map traffic flows and dependencies
• Identify application interdependencies and communication patterns
• Develop wave/bundle migration strategies aligned to business and technical requirements
• Recommend optimal grouping of application data sets to minimise post-migration latency
• Support the design and optimisation of the target VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform
• Work closely with client architects, infrastructure teams, and migration partners
• Produce high-quality documentation, reports, and presentations
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware Aria (vRealize Network Insight)
• Solid experience working with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Strong understanding of: Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or cloud migration programmes
  • Network traffic analysis and flow mapping
  • Application dependency mapping
  • Software-defined networking (NSX desirable)
• Deep understanding of the VMware ecosystem and virtualised networking
• Ability to translate complex analysis into an actionable migration plan
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence and advise at both technical and business levels
• Collaborative approach when working across multiple teams and vendors
