Financial Systems Specialist (Tagetik)

We are recruiting a Financial Systems Specialist with strong Tagetik expertise to support and develop an enterprise-wide financial management platform. This role sits at the intersection of finance, systems, and business planning, with a clear focus on ensuring Tagetik operates as the primary reporting, planning, and consolidation tool across the organisation.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, configuration, and continuous improvement of Tagetik, supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end, and year-end processes, while working closely with Finance and Business Planning teams to deliver accurate, efficient, and scalable financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the Tagetik subject matter expert, serving as the primary point of contact for system queries, issues, and enhancements across Finance

Design, configure, and implement Tagetik solutions in line with business requirements, including:

Financial consolidation

Planning and budgeting

Forecasting

Bespoke reporting and analytics

Ensure month-end and year-end reporting processes are robust, controlled, and deliver accurate, complete outputs in line with accounting and regulatory requirements

Own Tagetik system administration, including:

Daily ETL processes (SAP financial and master data)

User access and permissions

Software licences and contract renewals

Support and shape budgeting, forecasting, and business planning cycles, ensuring data models, workflows, and outputs align with operational and strategic needs

Lead and develop a Tagetik super-user community, delivering training, documentation, and knowledge-sharing to improve system adoption and capability

Proactively identify system risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement, implementing solutions end-to-end

Capabilities & Technical Skills

Strong technical skillset, including Excel, VBA, and SQL

Solid understanding of financial accounting principles

Excellent problem-solving ability with a structured, analytical approach

Strong stakeholder management skills; able to translate technical concepts into clear, non-technical language

Experience designing and implementing process improvements within finance systems environments

Experience Required

Hands-on experience with Tagetik, including:

Financial consolidation

Planning, budgeting, and reporting modules

Proven experience building:

Process workflows

Data models

ETLs

Calculation logic

AIH analytical workspaces

Tagetik Query Language (TQL) scripting

Experience working closely with finance and business stakeholders to deliver system-led solutions

Ability to work autonomously, identifying and resolving issues proactivel
