This is a hands-on engineering role focused on writing clean, maintainable Go code. You'll collaborate with other developers and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and improvements.

This is a full-time permanent position, paying between circa £50,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This Golang Developer position is fully remote.

Qualifications & Skills required:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Go (Golang).
  • Solid understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems and API design.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code and cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and a true team player
  • Experience working with SaaS platforms or automation tools is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven systems, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) - DESIRABLE
  • Background in product management or user-centred design - DESIRABLE
  • Familiarity with performance optimisation and data modelling - DESIRABLE

What you'd be doing:

  • Develop backend services and components using Go.
  • Design and implement APIs, data models and automation workflows.
  • Optimise performance, scalability and reliability of distributed systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Help identify and resolve technical bottlenecks and bugs.
