Salary: £ 43,889 + 2025/26 pay award pending

Position: Permanent, full time 37 hours per week

Location: Birmingham/ Hybrid – minimum office 2 days per week

Join our newly formed Data Quality team and help deliver Citizen’s Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) Strategy, driving a stronger data culture and improving services and products for our communities.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with energy and enthusiasm for delivering positive change. You’ll play a key role in shaping how Citizen collects, retains, and uses data—making it accessible and impactful for both colleagues and customers.

As part of a major transformation programme, Putting Our Citizens First, you’ll become a go-to expert in our data structures, collaborating across teams to embed high-quality, trusted data into everyday decision-making.

In Transformation, you can make a real difference. The Data Quality Analyst will:

  • Map and document data flows across teams, customers, and suppliers, ensuring a clearly formatted library of information is created, maintained and linked to working practices and current systems
  • Define and agree data requirements and systems for each department
  • Develop tools and processes to monitor and improve data quality
  • Analyse data sources to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements
  • Create and gain approval for data quality standards
  • Investigate root causes of data issues and collaborate on solutions
  • Design and implement data quality control tests
  • Support staff training on data practices
  • Contribute to digital innovation (AI, Robotic Process Automation) in the data roadmap
  • Track and report KPIs on data health and improvement progress

To fulfil the requirements of this role you will have experience, skills, and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Collaborative problem-solving mindset
  • Technical proficiency in SQL, ETL, data warehousing, and Microsoft tools (including SharePoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
