City & Capital are currently representing a highly respected & fast-growing property finance lender who are achieving exciting growth. They have engaged our services to appoint a confident & experienced Enterprise Architect who will take oversight of the company’s overall technology architecture.

Our client is known for supporting property developers & investors with access to funds for important property projects. Solutions include commercial mortgages, bridging finance & BTL. Our client are a leading player in their sector & ahead of the pack in terms of innovation and engagement with tech and systems that drive business performance and lending efficiency.

The Department & Team

The Enterprise Architect is a senior member of the IT department and will work closely with the Head of IT and CTO on critical projects that drive the growing technological landscape of the firm.

The IT team is set to grow considerably in light of the planned projects, making the appointment of a proactive and experienced Enterprise Architect a critical hire, at an exciting time.

The department works closely with senior leaders & users in operational departments, so the capacity to communicate across the business is a critical requirement for this role.

Role Overview

As Enterprise Architect you will take full ownership of the company’s overall technology architecture & will play a pivotal part in shaping the evolution of digital change and enhancements, ensuring that key decisions align with the overarching business objectives.

You will be responsible for defining the architecture roadmap across platforms and systems, including Salesforce & supporting applications, Azure Cloud and a broad range of SaaS & other cloud based solutions.

You will be targeted to ensure that technology is leveraged effectively, scalable and securely across the enterprise structure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and optimise the enterprise architecture blueprint
  • Act as architectural thought leader, developing and delivering strategy
  • Support the development and enhancements of governance structures
  • Lead architectural planning for new systems, applications & infrastructure
  • Partner with executive leadership & stakeholders to drive projects & activity
  • Identify future-state technology needs and plan for systems and infrastructure
  • Maintain a technology roadmap and ensure decisions are clearly communicated
  • Provide architectural oversight of Salesforce and its supporting ecosystem
  • Ensure Salesforce solution design is aligned with the broader enterprise architecture
  • Define and lead the architectural strategy for all cloud-based platforms
  • Ensure that cloud environments are scalable, highly available & secure
  • Design and implement a hybrid-cloud architecture
  • Evaluate and recommend new Azure services and features
  • Contribute to cloud governance models
  • Lead the assessment, selection, and integration of SaaS platforms
  • Define and implement a robust architecture governance framework
  • Create and maintain technology policies
  • Monitor and assess adherence to architectural policies

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a senior architecture role
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, Salesforce Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft or other integration platforms.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment strategies
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Experience designing solutions using cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into strategic business discussions

On Offer

Our client is ideally looking to pay up to c£100k as a basic salary for the ideal individual, relevant to experience and qualifications. Higher offers may be considered for exceptional experience.

Salary will be complemented by access to our client’s favourable bonus structure too, which will significantly increase year on year earnings.
