We are working with a leading global IT and business consulting firm, deeply Embedded in UK Defence and National Security, to identify an experienced SC-cleared Infrastructure Engineer to join their defence team.

You'll be designing, building and maintaining the underlying infrastructure, Linux/Windows environments, virtualisation, networking, that everything else in these secure environments depends on. It's detailed, high-responsibility work on systems where downtime or misconfiguration genuinely isn't an option, alongside a team that takes engineering rigour seriously.

Our client has decades of heritage delivering to UK Defence and intelligence agencies, with real investment in developing technical careers long-term.

Essential:

• Active SC clearance
• UK resident for a minimum of 5 years
• Due to the secure nature of the role, candidates must be sole UK nationals
• Hands-on infrastructure background, Linux/Windows administration, virtualisation, networking
• Comfortable working within secure, regulated environments

Desirable:

• Defence, Intelligence, or wider public sector background
• Virtualisation experience (VMware, KVM)
• Military transition candidates with hands-on technical infrastructure experience
