Role – Head of M&A

You’ll lead a talented M&A team and drive the sourcing, execution, and integration of deals across the UK and Ireland — with the opportunity to explore international acquisitions in select markets.

• Define and execute ClearCourse’s M&A strategy in alignment with group objectives

• Lead all aspects of the deal lifecycle — from origination, valuation and due diligence to negotiation and integration planning

• Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors, investors, and target company leaders

• Manage and develop a high-performing M&A team, ensuring best-in-class execution

• Oversee post-merger integration and monitor value creation across acquired businesses

• Present strategic recommendations and financial insights to the executive team and board

• 10+ years’ experience leading M&A transactions within technology, SaaS, fintech, or payments

• Proven success delivering high-volume M&A activity and managing complex deals (<£10M ARR)

• Strong understanding of valuation, structuring, and integration in tech-driven environments

• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior and board level

• Advanced financial modelling, negotiation, and strategic analysis capabilities

• Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business; MBA, ACA or CFA preferred

• Commercially sharp, execution-focused, and thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings
