Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office

Hours: Full-time

Contract: 6 months, Outside IR35

Pay: £37.76 - £42.28 per hour PAYE basic excluding holiday pay or £50 - £56 per hour LTD/Umbrella

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading global healthcare organisation, in Welwyn Garden City.

This is a senior clinical data management position responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity and availability of clinical trial data across one or more studies, working closely with Biostatistics, Data Science, Clinical Operations and other cross-functional teams.

The Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' clinical data management experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years' equivalent experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience managing data for clinical trials
• Experience with CRF design and query resolution
• Working knowledge of EDC systems and data standards such as CDISC
• Good understanding of clinical data types and how they relate to analysis
• Familiarity with risk-based monitoring or data quality metrics
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• SAS, R or Python knowledge would be advantageous
• Early-phase or adaptive study experience would be beneficial

The Role:

• Independently manage end-to-end data management across one or more clinical studies
• Oversee activities from CRF and database design through to final study closure
• Work with Biostatistics, Data Science and Clinical teams to define data specifications
• Support the selection and oversight of data-related vendors
• Drive timely data entry and query resolution
• Resolve complex clinical data issues across systems including EDC, ePRO and IRT
• Review and improve study-level data processes
• Ensure third-party vendor deliverables meet regulatory and quality requirements
• Support high-quality data delivery and readiness for analysis
• Share technical expertise and contribute to continuous improvement across the wider team
